Hannibal, Mo. – Larry Purpich, an employee at Spartan Light Metal Products, won this
year’s Trip Incentive drawing for giving to the United Way’s Annual Campaign. Each year
the United Way asks local employers to participate in the Trip Incentive Program to
boost employee giving. Employers give $100 to the Trip Incentive fund. Then, employees of the participating
company who give a minimum of $2.00 a week to the United Way Campaign have their
name included in the Trip Incentive Drawing.

Each year the drawing is done at the United Way’s Annual Banquet. The winner is able to
choose between a vacation package and a $1,500 cash payout. This year’s successful
United Way campaign raised over $380,000. Those dollars are immediately allocated to
organizations within the community who work to better the lives of local community
